Kids’ Area: Led by an educator with years of experience in nature-based early childhood development, this venue will have even more interactive, hands-on activities for all ages, interests, and abilities.
Activities include the following:
- Flower crowns (thanks to Devoto Gardens for flowers)
- Soap felting (thanks to Soap Cauldron for soap and Bodega Pastures for wool)
- Lavender sachets (thanks to Bees N Blooms for lavender)
- Scavenger hunt
- Community weaving
- Experiential zone: sensory bin & giant bubbles
- Sensory calming zone
- *Face painting is a vendor booth, with additional fee.
Ag Games: Kids and their grown-ups can join in no-stress, high-thrills, ag-inspired games and contests, such as watermelon toss, sack races, and of course the famously cute piglet “races.” Visit the American Ag Credit Ag Games page for schedule.
Farm Animals: Meet adorable horses, goats, sheep, and piglets and their human caretakers, and learn about the importance of small-scale animal husbandry at the Richard & Saralee’s Farm Yard. And watch goat milking and sheep shearing demonstrations at the Farm Bureau Arena.
Apple-Themed Contests: Join our fun and free apple juggling, apple balancing, caramel apple eating, and pie baking competitions. Visit the Contests page for more details.
Singalongs: Join us both days at Life on the Farm Arena for Mini Music Singalong: Saturday at 3 pm & Sunday at 3:45 pm.
Community Vendors: Several community vendors will have free kids’ activities.
Diaper Changing & Nursing Area: Thanks to Homebody Midwifery for creating a serene, beautiful spot for families to tend to young children.
