Cider

Check out one of the most refreshing recent trends in Sonoma County, the revival of hard cider! It delights the palate and keeps local apple orchards in production. Enjoy an array of stellar ciders at three venues:

Golden State Cider, a celebrated Sebastopol cidery, believes in preserving Sonoma County’s agricultural heritage, especially the Gravenstein apple. Check out their newest cider, debuting at the fair – a Sonoma County-based blend heralding ten years in the cider business. Serving their popular Mighty Dry.

Oliver’s Craft Cider Tent will be pouring 15 ciders made from local, fresh-pressed apples grown within 100 miles of the fair’s home – Ragle Ranch Park. This year’s Cider Tent is organized by a group of Sonoma County home cidermakers known as the GRAVS (Gold Ridge Apple Vintner’s Society). Serving over the course of the weekend: Ace Cider, AppleGarden Farm, Bardos Cider, Belden Barns, Coturri, Dutton Estate Winery, Ethic Cider, Eye Cyder, Goat Rock Cider, Golden State Cider, Horse & Plow, Humboldt Cider Co., North American Press, Tilted Shed Ciderworks, Trowbridge Cider/Old World Winery.

The VIP Lounge’s Artisan Tasting Alley is where local producers will share their specialty ciders. Meet and greet the cider makers from Golden State Cider, Ethic Cider, Eye Cyder, and Tilted Shed Ciderworks; enjoy sips and pairings; and learn more about their unique craft. The VIP bar will be serving Golden State’s special 10th Anniversary cider.
