For over 20 years, SambaDá has been mixing contemporary sounds with the roots of Brazilian culture. Brazilian natives Papiba Godinho and Dandha da Hora bring their profound knowledge and respect for the roots of Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian song and dance. Blended with the rest of the band’s diverse members, they have developed a type of afro-samba-reggae-funk with a universal appeal. SambaDá musically unites North and South America with Africa, drawing from percussion based styles of South and Central America and Senegal. Layered with classic funk, rock and reggae backbeats, the diversity of this band is what gives it its universal appeal.
The energy that binds this band together is a magic that is felt by audiences from all cultures and of all ages. SambaDá brings joy to each performance, and always keeps their fans asking for more!!
